The act of legal and forensic medicine in the 21st century needs to identify this new technological, technical and scientific era. To recognise that this can only be done through multidisciplinary, inter-professional cooperation, especially between practitioners and academics, and the institutions involved. Restoring, renewing and innovating professional work are actions that must be carried out in our times, which will be full of disruptive innovations, both scientifically and socially. Analysing, updating and sharing the values that are violated when practising the professions linked with the act of legal and forensic medicine will allow society to be more educated, fairer and safer.
